About Our Perspective on Subconsciousness

Our view of the subconscious mind connects physical development with inner experience in a symbolic way. In men, we associate subconscious processes with the area below the navel, linking this to the roles of X and Y chromosomes in two key birth events: the detachment of the placenta and the cutting and tying of the umbilical cord. In women, we describe the subconscious through the navel’s more subtle receptivity, sexuality, and maternal instinct, emphasizing how body, emotion, and identity are closely intertwined from the very beginning of life.
